French with multicolor flowers

           You will need:
- neutral
- white
- pink
- dark purple
Difficulty: easy / 3 out of 10
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've not been painting my nails a lot lately. anyway, this one is pretty simple. start with a base coat and then add a neutral color thats really close to your skin color(the one I used is too dark for me, but my mom got it for me without me being there, so I don't mind:). Then, of course do a French tip. then this part, I messed up the first time I did it cause I tried to use the brush that the polish came with instead of a super tiny art brush, but put four little lines in the shape of a four leaf clover. Do about four of these scattered around your nail in both colors.

ocean of pearls

Sorry I havent posted in a REALLY long time. I didn't do much nail art for a while. maybe partly because i had so much school work. Then When i finally decided to post, I couldn't find my camera for a while. That's why the manicure in this post is really chipped.I couldn't take the picture immediately after I made the design. Anyway, I think I did well. I'm very pleased. Here it is.

You will need:
- medium/dark blue or purple
- light blue or lavender
-metallic whitish color, preferably with a silver tint to it.
Difficulty: easy / 3 out of 10

First, put your base coat. I know I never write to do this but is is a good thing to do. Then put an opaque coat of your medium to dark blue or purple. Then take the metallic whitish color, and put it on a smaller brush. Put around three or four medium sized spots(pearls) along one edge of the nail, curving over a little to put one or so in the middle of the bottom edge of the nail. then put tiny dots in the spaces between these larger dots. This should make it look sort of like coble stone on one side of the nail. Then, just take the smaller brush, wash it, put some light blue or lavender on it, and put a small streak along the inside edge of the larger dots.Thats it!

Holly

Difficulty: intermediate / 5-6 out of 10
you will need:
- navy blue
- white
- green
- red
- gold glitter
- small brush
start by painting one nail navy blue. then put a diagonal white line with two or three white lines sticking out from either side. This will leave light lines under the green for branches. next you put the green over top of the white. make wide lines tracing over each thin white line, not just one huge blob of green stuff. I know you cant see it in this picture, but after the branch, put scattered bits of gold glitter in the corner of the nail. for gold glitter, it's preferable to use a top coat with big, gold circles, not just regular glitter. Finally, the holly berries. just put three or so red circles over the gold glitter. For the other nails, just alternate between green, red, and covered in gold glitter. Have a merry Christmas!!!!!

Angels

Difficulty: easy / 3-4 out of 10
you will need:
- navy blue, dark purple, or any other dark color
- white
- small brush
- glitter, or gold or silver
Sorry I haven't posted in a LOOONG time. I haven't been able to get on my computer. Well for this one, paint your nails with the dark color you chose, then draw the body of the angel. After that, you just draw a circle for the head(separate from the body) and two wings(also separate from the body). This doesn't show on this picture because it chipped off before I took the pic, but then you get glitter, or gold or silver, and paint a halo. you shouldnt need an art brush for this. I didn't do a thin line, I did a sort of filled in circle behind the head like in old paintings of baby Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.

gold crackle

Here's another crackle design. It also has stickers. I got some for my B-day, so i wanted to try them out. They work well, although you have to be really careful when you take them off the sticker sheet, or they will fold slightly, but it's not a big deal. the ones in the photo folded, but you can hardly tell. I got these polishes at Ulta. Most of the stuff their is really expensive, but if you know where to look, you can get really good deals. just explore, and you'll find some stuff. here are the photos. There are other stickers too. I'll use them later. Te gold is called "Gold Antiqued", and the coral is called "Give me a Coral Sometime".

Hope you like it!

Whole Foods Polish

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been SUPER busy w/ school. For this last month, there's been a sale at whole Foods on Nail Polish. It's $3.00 off the $9.00 nail polish. I was hesitant to buy it when it was $9.00, because I could get good Wet 'n' Wild nail polish from Walgreens for a dollar. But, when they started a sale, I had to try it. I was curious. I'm glad I tried it. I got three great colors, one of which changes colors depending on the angle you look at it. That one's golden and creamy rose pink, and I got two blue colors. Here are some pictures.

I (heart) music

 Difficulty: easy / 3 out of 10
You will need:
- black or white polish
- red polish
- toothpicks

This one's pretty easy, and I've been waiting to do it for a while. You alternate red and black, or red and white Then, you use the toothpick to do the heart, and the writing. I did the heart on my left hand, and the "music" on the right hand. put the heart on your ring finger, the I on the pointer finger, and write music on the right hand, starting with the M on the thumb, the u on the pointer finger, and so on. It's important to get everything in the right place. to show people, put your right hand on the left of your left hand, and vise versa. I know, it's confusing. You can probably figure it out in front of a mirror. You could also write "CALL ME", "I <3 YOU", "Rock 'n' Roll", or something like that.

the most awesome Nail polish color I've EVER SEEN!!

well I just wanted to tell you guys that I've found my favorite nail polish color. I've used it before on this site. It's in the post that I'm most proud of, Dark Purple Ferns. It's called Manhattan by NYC. It's AWESOME! When it's light out, it appears this beautiful dark purply burgundy sort of color. I love it. :D I love smilies too! :D :) ;D

Formal purple and black ideas(Ferns and Flower buds, diamond necklace, and girly coat of arms)

This one is for the special request. I came up with three things for you. hope you like them:)
(For these' I would recommend doing nail art on the ring finger, ad painting the other nails in a secondary color from the design. I'll show this at the end)

1. ferns and flower buds: Difficulty: intermediate-difficult / 6-7 out of 10
you will need:
- light lavender
- light green
- deep/medium purple
- very small brush
- toothpick
For this one, you start with an opaque coat of the deep-medium purple. I used hard as nails rock bottom, but it's very sheer, so it takes 3-5 coats, depending on how vibrant you want it.You can add a sparkly french tip if you want, but it's not important. Then, you make little, curved, green, lines coming out of the bottom corners of your nails as shown(It should look a lot like Feathered French.) Finally, the flower buds. For these, you have to make sure that they are small enough and far enough apart so they don't connect. Take a tooth pick and put a little dot of the lavender polish on the end of the toothpick, and put about four dots along the outer edges of each of the green lines as shown. For the lavender I used claire's mood crazy/mellow polish, but if it's hot out, it will turn pink.

2. diamond necklace: Difficulty: easy / 3 out of 10
You will need:
- deep-medium purple
- light lavender, preferably sparkly
 - silvery rhinestones
- toothpick
To start off, put an opaque coat of the deep-medium purple(also rock bottom by hard as nails) you put a medium size dot of lavender polish in the middle of the nail towards the bottom as shown(The dot should be about the size of the rhinestone). Before it dries, place a rhinestone on the dot, and gently press it in. While this is drying, use the same lavender to put small dots w/ a toothpick in sort of diagonal lines from either side of the gem to the top corners of nails as shown.

 3. Girly Coat of Arms: Difficulty: Easy/ 1-2 out of 10
 You will need:
- deep-medium purple
- light lavender
- black
This one is really simple, but I really like it a lot. You start by fully painting the nail w/ the lavender. Then you paint one half of the nail from a little to the right of the top left corner of the nail to a little to the left of the right bottom corner of the nail(sorry if that's confusing. just refer to the picture below the instructions.) between the two halves, put a line of the deep-medium purple. Thanks for reading. Hope you enjoyed!
for this one, I rotated between all the colors used in the design. Happy painting!;)

red roses

Difficulty: difficult / 7 out of 10
You will need:
- very small brush
- red
- white
- black
- light green
Well, for this particular design, you start off with a coat of black. I like the black by wet 'n' wild shine, because it's very opaque, and so is the red. After the black, you do the roses. To make a rose, you start off with a very short slightly curved line. then you just put several similar curved lines around it as shown in the picture.
After the roses, come the vines. just put wavy lines going around and between the roses, connecting them.
Finally, the zebra stripes. put stripes in the open space with the white as shown. Thats it! Hope you liked it!
